About Us
The Insurance Institute of Guernsey ("IIG"), founded in 1984 provides a local presence for the Chartered Insurance Institute ("CII"). Prior to it's formation it had been a Local Committee of the Insurance Institute of Southampton since 1959. The Bailiwick of Guernsey consists of the Isles of Guernsey, Alderney, Sark and Herm and is a self governing Crown Dependancy with its own parliment, The States of Guernsey. Our members, which total over 300 are drawn from brokers, captive managers, domestic insurers and international life insurers. This diversity places a challenge on the council to find suitable topics and speakers for our annual programme but due to their enthusiasm and commitment these are successful and well attended. Meetings are usually held monthly at Moores Hotel and details of topics and dates are available by viewing our Programme. The IIG strives to provide 'added-value' to membership for CII members who live and work in the Bailiwick by providing various activities and events - from CPD lectures to social events. |
