Education
Two of the key aims of the Insurance Institute of Guernsey are to provide educational opportunities for our members and to promote careers in our industry to the people of Guernsey. We liaise with the Chartered Insurance Institute to make facilities available for Guernsey based students to study for and achieve CII professional examinations, which are recognised worldwide. We also offer talks, lectures and seminars to supplement examination based learning and to help qualified professionals and others working in our industry to continue their professional development (CPD). Our careers promotions include participation in seminars and careers events and liaison with schools and other places of learning, such as the Guernsey Training Agency, Guernsey Business School and the College of Further Education. We work with other professional assocations such as GIBA. We are non-profit making and are staffed by volunteers. We have an Education Officer and a Careers Officer.
